The Ice Cream Museum in Los Angeles

It’s hard to find a person on earth who would say, “I don’t like ice cream”. This sweet, cool product filled with all kinds of flavors is not just loved – it is adored by everyone on the planet. In addition to the rich, bright taste, modern confectioners strive to give ice cream all kinds of shapes and accents. Many manufacturers use the unique qualities of the product and create real masterpieces, which can be classified as works of art.

In different countries around the world, artists, sculptors, architects, and other artists create installations dedicated to ice cream, produce sculptures, and open exhibitions dedicated to the product which is loved by everyone.

A little about the main concept of the ice cream museum

The idea to create a museum where adults can feel like children, taste American ice cream and experience an atmosphere of joy and carefree fun came to creative 24-year-old strategist, charming girl Merilis Bunn and 36-year-old former investment banker Manish Voroy.

The ice cream museum in New York City involves interactive exhibits:

  • waffle cones;
  • everyone’s favorite dessert, chocolate;
  • rainbow sprinkles;
  • different kinds of ice cream.

The most popular exhibit was the Spring Pool filled with candy and balloons. Complementing the Instagram installation was a wall of waffle cones and other extraordinary exhibits using a variety of American ice cream. More than two hundred thousand people visited the exhibition in New York.

A pool of colorful sprinkles

Inspired by the success, the creators decided to open an ice cream museum in Los Angeles. The museum harmoniously combines an art exhibit (the style is Pop Art) and an ice cream fair where you can enjoy popular desserts from Salt & Straw, McConnell’s, CREAM and Coolhaus.

In the art object portion of the location, visitors will find interesting installations:

  • The Room of Ten Thousand Bananas;
  • a jungle made of fruit ice;
  • glowing ice cream cones hanging from the ceiling;
  • all kinds of ice cream;
  • a pool of colorful sprinkles;
  • other exhibits.

Admission is $18 for children (ages 3-12) and seniors and $29 for adults. The price includes two tastings of interesting ice cream and tasty surprises, which organizers are keeping quiet about for now. The popularity of the show in New York (ticket sales lasted no more than two hours, and they cost at least $100 from resellers) was enormous. Therefore, in order not to overpay repeatedly, it is necessary to buy tickets to the Museum of Ice Cream in Los Angeles in advance.
